Anyone who works with clients that need surety bonds knows that timing is critical. While we always appreciate having advance notice on bond requests, the reality is that many opportunities come down to tight deadlines and last-minute requests. In those moments, having a dedicated bond team in your corner can make all the difference.
Recently, a client reached out with a bid bond request and explained that they needed the bond returned within the hour. They knew it was a long shot, but the bid was important and they wanted to see if we could make it happen.
The challenge? Their underwriter was out of the office at an appointment when the request came in.
Fortunately, the client had also copied Goldleaf’s New Business Intake Manager, Kendyl Meseck, on the email. Kendyl quickly routed the request to our underwriting team to see if someone had availability to jump in. Braden Hoekstra immediately stepped up, reviewed the documents, issued the bid bond, and delivered it back to the client – all within the one-hour deadline.
To us, this isn’t an extraordinary success story. It’s simply how our team operates.
Because surety bonds are all we do, we have systems and processes in place that allow our team to step in and support one another when timing is tight. If an underwriter is unavailable, another team member is ready to jump in and keep things moving. That collaboration helps ensure our clients receive the service they need when they need it most.
This may not be the flashiest success story, but it highlights something that matters most to our team – when deadlines are tight and projects are on the line, having the right team behind you can be the difference between submitting a bid and missing one altogether.
At Goldleaf, our goal is simple – help our clients secure the bonds they need and keep business moving forward.
