Goldleaf would like to introduce our 2019 scholarship winners – Paige Smit and Walker Risa. Paige is a 2019 graduate of Montevideo High School and will began her college career this fall at Southwest Minnesota State University majoring in Business Management. Walker is a 2019 graduate of Lakeview High School in Cottonwood and will begin his college career this fall at South Dakota State University majoring in Aviation. Walker with also be joining the US Air Force ROTC program
Since 2010, Goldleaf has been presenting $500 scholarships to local area high school seniors who generally will be pursuing a degree in a business related field. Goldleaf has been honored to present these scholarships to local high school students to assist them in pursuing their college educations.
At this year’s 31st Annual Montevideo Scholarship Tea, 135 scholarships were presented to 74 Montevideo High School seniors. Scholarships presented total $157,250.
Lakeview Dollars for Scholars chapter helps local students achieve their educational goals by raising scholarship funds, establishing endowments, providing assistance with college readiness and the financial aid process, and distributing scholarships each year.
