On Tuesday, March 10, 2015, Goldleaf Surety Services hosted a Contractor’s Construction Law Seminar at the Embassy Suites in Omaha, Nebraska.
Keynote Speaker was Craig Martin. Craig is a partner in the law firm of Lamson Dugan and Murray, LLP in Omaha. He has a background in all aspects of construction law. He has experience in handling a wide variety of litigation in the commercial and business tort arena. His practice emphasizes construction and employment matters, but he also has experience in counseling business clients on a myriad of issues, including contract language and risk management. Mr. Martin represents numerous contractors, subcontractors, developers, owners, materials suppliers and design professionals in construction disputes in both State and Federal courts.
The seminar’s agenda included the following topics:
- Managing an OSHA Inspection
- An Overview of Nebraska and Iowa Construction Lien
- Troublesome Contract Clauses
- Preparing a Construction Claim
Over the next several blog posts, we will look at some of these topics in more detail. You can also find more information on these and other topics at Craig’s Construction Contractor Advisor blog.
Goldleaf Surety would like to thank Craig for an excellent seminar! We would also like to thank our contractors who took time from their busy schedules to attend the seminar this year!
