Goldleaf Surety would like to introduce our 2014 scholarship winner – Cal Anderson. Cal will began his college career this fall at North Dakota State University in Fargo with plans to major in finance. Cal has also been an intern with Goldleaf this summer assisting our underwriting staff.
Since 2010, Goldleaf has been presenting $500 scholarships to Montevideo High School graduates who will generally be pursuing a degree in a business related field. Goldleaf has been honored to present a total of 7 scholarships to local high school students to assist them in pursuing their college educations.
The Montevideo Scholarship Tea has its origins back in 1959 when four $100 scholarships were awarded to Montevideo high school students. At this year’s tea, $136,000 was awarded to nearly 80 Montevideo High School seniors. The total given to Montevideo high school students since its inception back in 1959 is $2,244,350.
