Goldleaf Surety’s Year in Review

January 11, 2019by Lori Olson

As we begin a new year and a new chapter in 2019, Goldleaf Surety would like to take a moment to reflect on the past year.  2018 was certainly an interesting year in the world of surety and another great year for Goldleaf Surety and our staff.

On April 1st, Goldleaf Surety celebrated 20 years as a company.  So the month of April brought a flurry of activity in celebration of our anniversary and our relationships with our agents, contractors and surety partners.   On April 13th, we were blessed to gather with our staff and their families to celebrate this milestone.  Without our amazing group of employees and our great partnerships with our contractors, agents and sureties, the growth and success of Goldleaf Surety over the past 20 years would not have been possible.

Throughout the year our employees were able to participate in various charitable events including Light the Night Walk, Better Together Service Project, the Montevideo Scholarship Tea, and Salvation Army bell ringing.

Again this year we carried on our tradition of “adopting” a local family needing a little help to make sure they had a merry Christmas this year.  On Friday, December 14th, we took time away from the office to shop for our adopted family.  In addition to being able to fulfill their wish list items due to the generous donations of our staff, Goldleaf Surety was also able to provide the family with all the groceries needed to prepare a traditional Christmas dinner.  This is a tradition that has come to be a highlight of the year for all of us here in the office.  That evening we were able to partake in a great evening of food and games together at our company Christmas gathering.

As Charles Dickens said, “I will honor Christmas in my heart, and try to keep it all the year.”  We think this is a great goal to have in 2019.
