Goldleaf Surety staff took time out this summer for some family fun. A company picnic was held the afternoon of August 8th. The kids enjoyed time in the pool, even though the day was a little chilly, and at the park. And everyone enjoyed bean bag games, good food, and time to relax and visit. Relay for Life

According to the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life website, the Relay for Life started in May 1985, when Dr. Gordy Klatt walked and ran for 24 hours around a track in Tacoma, Washington, ultimately raising $27,000 to help the American Caner Society fight the nation's biggest health concern - cancer.  A year later, 340 supporters joined the overnight event. Big Climb MPLS

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Big Climb MPLS was held on April 5, 2014, at Capella Tower in Minneapolis. Goldleaf's Fund Control Administrator Jan Sachariason and her family participated in this year's event. Jan, her husband Rob, who is in remission from Hairy Cell Leukemia, and their son Jack volunteered their time while their oldest son Tyler participated in the climb. December was a cold, wintery month in Minnesota! So we here at Goldleaf Surety tried to keep warm, at least on the inside, by spreading some Christmas cheer! Light the Night Walk

On Sunday, September 22nd Goldleaf Escrow Fund Control Administrator Jan Sachariason and her family participated in the Light The Night Walk at Target Field in Minneapolis. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Light The Night Walk is an evening filled with fun and inspiration including a Remembrance Ceremony to reflect with those who have lost loved ones to cancer and a patients and survivors lap. Breast Cancer Awareness month is an annual international health campaign organized by  public service organizations, professional medical associations, and government agencies every October to increase awareness of the disease and to raise funds for research into its cause, prevention, diagnosis, treatment and cure. Goldleaf Surety Scholarship Winner

Goldleaf Surety would like to introduce our 2013 scholarship winner - Ali. Ali began her college career this fall at the University of Minnesota - Duluth. Since 2010, Goldleaf Surety has been presenting $500 scholarships to Montevideo High School graduates who generally will be pursuing a degree in a business related field. Goldleaf Surety’s Kristina Schafer Participates in 5K Run

On Saturday, July 27th, Goldleaf's Small Bond Specialist Kristina Schafer participated in the Phillsbury Push 5K Run in Kerkhoven, Minnesota.  This race is an annual fund raising event with proceeds from the race going to the Phillsbury Swimming Pool and the Benson/KMS Cross Country team.
